FreelingWaters is Gijs Frieling and Job Wouters. FreelingWaters works in art, design, fashion and educational contexts but they always paint. Large scale murals both temporary and permanent, ornamented antique cabinets and handcrafted objects, hand-painted designs for textiles and hand-lettering in all scales. FreelingWaters always works in commission but might conceive highly complex figurative, narrative and ornamental works. FreelingWaters makes its own paint from pigments and different binders dependent on carrier surfaces. FreelingWaters has a team of trained assistants to execute large works. FreelingWaters perceives the world as a living organism of layered rhythms. Their painting aspires to answer to this perception in the highest, widest and deepest sense.
